Detectives with the Killeen Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the death of 53-year-old Elizabeth Rosario Quick.
On Monday, September 9, 2024, at approximately 11:23 p.m., Killeen Police Officers responded to a welfare concern at a residence located in the 2700 block of Taft Street. Upon arrival, they found Quick deceased inside the home, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Nicola James at 12:47 a.m. James has ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the incident is domestic-related. Detectives with the Robbery-Homicide Unit are actively investigating the case.
