Father Charged with Murder After Son Found Dead in Las Colinas Apartment

On October 9, 2024, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Irving Police received a 911 call reporting unusual noises and significant blood spatter in the hallway at an apartment complex located at 330 Las Colinas Blvd E.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with 59-year-old Danny Moyer Ross, who made concerning statements about the welfare of another individual in his residence.

Officers entered the apartment and found the body of 27-year-old Zachery Tyler Ross, later identified as Danny Ross's son. Danny Ross was arrested at the scene without incident.

Danny Ross has been charged with Murder. On Thursday, October 10th, he was transferred to the Dallas County Jail. No bond hearing has been scheduled yet.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner confirmed Zachery Ross's identity.

Some may remember Zachery from Uplift Williams Preparatory where he was Salutatorian for the class of 2014.
