Armed Standoff in Frisco Ends Peacefully After Seven-Hour Negotiation

On Friday night, October 11th, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Frisco police responded to a welfare concern at a residence in the 10100 block of Burgundy Drive. A man inside the home was reportedly armed and had expressed suicidal intentions. Also present in the home were two young children.

Frisco SWAT, along with McKinney SWAT members and negotiators, arrived at the scene. After nearly seven hours of negotiations, both children were safely removed from the residence. The situation concluded at around 8:15 a.m. the following morning when the subject was taken into custody without incident.

The Frisco Police Department expressed gratitude to the McKinney Police Department for their assistance in resolving the incident peacefully.
