TEXRail to Increase Midday Service to 30-Minute Frequency Starting Nov. 3

Beginning Sunday, November 3, 2024, Trinity Metro TEXRail will expand its midday service schedule, increasing train frequency from hourly to every 30 minutes. This enhancement will bring consistent half-hour service for most of the day, improving convenience for passengers.

“We’ve studied ridership patterns and noticed a surge in passengers in the middle of the day,” said Reed Lanham, Vice President of Rail. “With more customers traveling at that time, we chose to adapt the schedule to meet customer demand and provide greater convenience.”

For those traveling from Fort Worth T&P Station to DFW Airport Terminal B Station, the first departure is at 4:13 a.m., with 30-minute intervals lasting until 6:43 p.m. Hourly service will resume in the evening, with the final train leaving at 10:43 p.m.

Passengers heading west from the airport will experience 30-minute frequency from 5:10 a.m. to 7:40 p.m., transitioning to hourly service for the night. The last full-route train will depart DFW Airport Terminal B at 11:40 p.m., with an additional train to Mercantile Center Station departing at 12:30 a.m.

“The enhanced schedule makes it easier and more convenient for Trinity Metro TEXRail riders to travel,” Lanham added. “Customers won’t need to wonder when the next train is arriving, as the new schedule will be consistent and easy to use.”

TEXRail operates daily between Fort Worth and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, serving nine stations in Fort Worth, North Richland Hills, and Grapevine.
