Lewisville Police Lead Successful Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Operation at Railroad Park

On October 30, 2024, the Lewisville Police Department, in collaboration with multiple regional agencies, conducted a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) operation at Railroad Park. This initiative, focused on improving road safety, saw participation from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Denton County Sheriff's Office, City of Denton Police Department, Carrollton Police Department, The Colony Police Department, and Flower Mound Police Department.

The operation included 39 Level 1 inspections, one Level 2 inspection, and resulted in 182 warnings and nine citations. Officers identified 25 out-of-service violations, leading to 17 trucks being removed from service due to significant safety issues. These violations, impacting 43% of inspected trucks, highlight ongoing efforts to ensure commercial vehicles meet safety standards to prevent accidents.

Officers Edge, Michaelson, and Larkin from the Lewisville PD, along with 12 inspectors, contributed to the success of the six-hour operation, reinforcing the commitment to safer Texas roadways.
