DeSoto Police have arrested two men, Mark Earl Calhoun, 39, of Dallas, and Quincelle Chanard Jones, 29, of Cedar Hill, following an assault on two security officers at the AMF Lanes Bowling Alley on Northgate Drive on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
Police were dispatched to the scene around 8:47 p.m. after receiving reports of a disturbance. The caller stated that several male suspects had "jumped" two security guards at the location. Officers were also provided with descriptions of multiple vehicles leaving the area, possibly carrying the suspects.
Upon arriving just minutes later at 8:50 p.m., officers apprehended Calhoun and Jones in a vehicle matching the description given by the caller. The suspects were positively identified by one of the victims and through surveillance footage. The two men have been charged with Assault on a Security Officer, a third-degree felony.
Both victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, with one being transported to the hospital for treatment. Witnesses reported that the altercation began when two women, accompanying the suspects, were asked to leave the bowling alley after a disagreement inside. As the security officers escorted the women out, the two male suspects attacked them.
