The City of Irving has announced the winterization of all athletic fields from November 24, 2024, to March 1, 2025, a measure aimed at preserving the grass and playing surfaces during cold weather. The process ensures fields recover quickly and remain in good condition for spring activities.
Key Details:
-
Practice Fields at Cottonwood Creek, Twin Wells Park and Fritz Park will be limited to a total of 10 hours per week for all reservations combined.
- Reservation requests must be submitted online and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- If requests exceed the 10-hour limit, reservations may be canceled, with refunds issued.
-
Gaming Fields at Irving Soccer Complex, Southwest Park, Trinity View Park and Lively Park will be closed during this period. Play on these fields is prohibited to maintain their condition for future games and tournaments.
