On November 23, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a multi-vehicle accident involving four motorcycles and one passenger vehicle occurred on SH-183 eastbound near the Irving Boulevard and Beltline Road intersections. A couple of the motocycles had a rider and passenger.
According to the Irving Police Department (IPD), preliminary witness reports indicate that speeding may have played a role in the crash, but the investigation remains ongoing.
A woman, riding as a passenger in one of the motorcycles, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. She is recovering and expected to make a full recovery.
