On Thursday, December 12, 2024, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a shooting call at the Mountain Valley Apartments, located in the 5800 block of Stretch Drive near Keeneland Parkway and Loop 12 in southwest Dallas.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Xavien Minnitt lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire and Rescue personnel arrived at the scene, but Minnitt was pronounced dead.
