Christina Hubacek, a rookie member of the SERVPRO Firefighter Challenge League (FCL), has made a significant impact in the 2024 season. Representing the Irving (TX) Fire Department, Hubacek ended the season as the Division 3: Under Age 40 Female Southwest Region Champion in the TFT Firefighter Challenge Championship Series, known as the "toughest two minutes in sports."
In addition to her regional championship, Hubacek placed in the top three in several tandem and relay events, demonstrating her versatility and skill. She currently holds both the Southwest Region and State of Texas records in Division 3.
Hubacek's remarkable progress is highlighted by her impressive improvement over the season. Her first run time in the sport was 4:08.52, but just a few months later, she competed in the United States Championship, securing 5th place with a time of 3:30.62. This achievement reflects her dedication, rigorous training, and commitment to excellence, earning pride for both herself and the great State of Texas.
