The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office announced that 30-year-old Damion McKinney has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for Aggravated Robbery.
The conviction stems from an incident on May 6, 2023, when a man met with an individual he believed was selling a 2015 red Corvette. The buyer brought $4,000 as a down payment, but upon arrival, he was confronted by three individuals, including McKinney, all of whom brandished firearms and demanded his money. After taking the cash, the suspects fled the scene.
On September 22, 2023, Fort Worth Police arrested McKinney during a traffic stop. He has remained incarcerated since his arrest.
Assistant District Attorneys Zack Ashford and Dani Wojciak prosecuted the case, securing McKinney’s 35-year sentence.
