On January 29, 2025, 66-year-old Christian Rewoldt pled guilty to five counts of possession of child pornography. The court sentenced him to 7 years on each count and stacked the sentences for a total of 35 years in prison.
Rewoldt worked for Crowley ISD at the time as a psychologist for children with special needs.
In August of 2023, Mansfield Police started investigating Rewoldt after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. About a week after, the Mansfield SWAT team executed a search warrant at his home where they found child porn on his electric devices.
The Mansfield police department worked on the case. The Tarrant County DA's Office was represented by Marina Thomas, Erika Staif and Steven Elliott. The DA investigators were Brent Ezelle and Matt Hardy.
