SanMar® Corporation, a leading supplier of imprintable apparel and accessories, has hired Melanie Dutton as the Human Resources Manager at its Irving, Texas, distribution center located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
“SanMar employs almost 200 employees in the Irving area,” says Olivia Thurmond, SanMar Senior Human Resources Manager. “We’re growing. And we’re excited to build upon our already strong workforce. Melanie’s experience in legal compliance, training and development will be a real asset in our Irving facility.”
Dutton has over seven years experience in the human resources field. Prior to joining SanMar, she was Human Resources Director at TDI-LLC. She has also served intermittently as an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas College of Business teaching HR management and employment law.
“SanMar is so welcoming, professional and helpful,” Dutton says. “My goal is to help streamline the HR processes across our organizations and put the proper structure in place for us to work smarter, rather than harder.”
Dutton holds a master’s in administrative/strategic management and a bachelor’s in marketing. When she’s not working, she enjoys singing, teaching step aerobics and boot camp.
