Fort Worth Firefighters Deployed to Central Texas to Assist with Flood Rescue Efforts

Seventeen members of the Fort Worth Fire Department have been deployed to assist with rescue and recovery operations in Central Texas following catastrophic flooding.

The deployed firefighters are part of specialized emergency response teams and are working alongside agencies such as Texas A&M Task Force 1, Texas Task Force 2, and the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS).

The region has been overwhelmed by severe weather and rising floodwaters, prompting large-scale emergency operations across multiple counties. Fort Worth’s responders are contributing their expertise to search, rescue, and recovery missions.

The Fort Worth Fire Department remains in close coordination with state and local emergency management teams as the situation continues to evolve.
