At approximately 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025, Dallas Police responded to a shooting in the 5500 block of Pick Fair Circle, located near the city’s Hospital District.
Upon arrival, officers located a man who had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. He was identified as 17-year-old Demarrius Antwon Hunter. The Dallas Police Department has classified this case as a justifiable homicide.
The case is being documented under case number 095374-2025. A grand jury referral will be submitted to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office as part of the ongoing investigation.
