Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Multiple Vehicles on US 75 in Plano; Initial Driver Fled Scene

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, at approximately 3:15 a.m., Plano Police and Plano Fire-Rescue responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian in the 4000 block of northbound US 75.

According to a preliminary investigation, a pedestrian was walking in the northbound lanes of the highway when they were struck by multiple vehicles. The first vehicle to hit the pedestrian fled the scene and has not been located.

Plano Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced the individual deceased at the scene. The Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office took custody of the body. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.

The Plano Police Traffic Unit is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call 972-424-5678.
