The Dallas Police Department announced the arrest of 99 fugitives as part of Operation Justice Trail, a coordinated initiative led by Police Chief Daniel C. Comeaux to target violent offenders in the city. The arrests took place between June 1 and June 30, 2025, and involved individuals with a combined 616 prior arrests.
Operation Justice Trail is a joint effort between the Dallas Police Department’s Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force. The goal of the initiative is to identify and apprehend individuals with violent felony warrants in order to enhance community safety across Dallas.
“Our goal is simple: to make Dallas the safest large city in America,” said Chief Comeaux. “We know that a small percentage of violent criminals are responsible for a disproportionate amount of crime. By focusing our efforts on these individuals, we are sending a clear message—violence will not be tolerated in our city.”
Acting U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Texas, Marco Villarreal, emphasized the importance of collaboration: “We are incredibly fortunate to have an outstanding partnership with the Dallas P.D. in Operation Justice Trail to make our communities safer by targeting the drivers of violent crime. By working together, the members of our North Texas Fugitive Task Force and the Dallas P.D. continue to make an impact by increasing community safety. This is what we do every day, and we will continue to do so.”
As part of the ongoing effort, North Texas Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 guaranteed reward for any tip submitted through the Crime Stoppers tipline that leads to the arrest of a wanted individual with an active felony warrant for specific violent offenses. The reward offer is valid through August 31, 2025.
The Dallas Police Department stated that this operation is one component of a broader strategy focused on collaboration, accountability, and the relentless pursuit of individuals who endanger public safety.
