DALLAS, TX – The Dallas Police Department’s Gang Unit, supported by the Central Business District (CBD) Task Force, Dallas PD Central Patrol, and DART PD, conducted a focused enforcement operation on June 20, 2025, in the West End area of downtown. The operation aimed to disrupt criminal activity and identify known and suspected gang members, resulting in six arrests and significant drug seizures.
"Our mission is about more than making arrests. It’s about keeping the City safe,” stated Assistant Chief Catrina M. Shead.
The enforcement efforts led to the seizure of 61 grams of methamphetamine, 2.5 grams of cocaine, and 4.1 grams of phencyclidine (PCP). The individuals arrested and their charges are as follows:

Kevin Lawrence, 38: One count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B=4g < 200g (second-degree felony).

Trevon Freeman, 25: One count of Theft $750-$2,500 (class A misdemeanor).

Lindsey Blackwell, 42: One count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B=1g<4g (third-degree felony).

Dilion Turkson, 27: Warrant for Possession of marijuana 2oz < 4oz (class A misdemeanor).

Wayne Beard, 41: Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1/1-B <1g (State Jail Felony).

Ollison Wheeler, 31: One count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2> = 4g<400g (second-degree felony).
