On July 13, 2025, at approximately 3:55 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a report of a criminal assault in progress in the 5600 block of Lemmon Avenue.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect had robbed an individual in a parking lot. Officers arrived at the scene and placed the suspect under arrest.
Dallas Fire Rescue responded and began medical care. While en route to the hospital, the suspect died.
The case is being investigated under case number 099570-2025. The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office has been notified and will conduct a separate investigation. The Office of Community Police Oversight was also notified and responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
