Suspect Arrested Days After Colleyville Vehicle Burglary and Credit Card Fraud

COLLEYVILLE, TX — Between 10:20 p.m. on Monday, July 14, and 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, a Colleyville resident's vehicle was burglarized in front of their home. The victim later discovered that personal items, including a wallet, were missing from the vehicle. Unauthorized transactions on the victim’s credit card were found at a local gas station and donut shop.

Detective Garcia responded to the scene, gathered evidence, and contacted the businesses where the transactions occurred. After narrowing down the timeline of the purchases, he used license plate reader technology to identify a suspect vehicle. Surveillance footage confirmed the identity of the suspect.

On July 17, a Municipal Judge signed arrest warrants for one count of Burglary of a Vehicle with Two or More Previous Convictions and two counts of Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse, all classified as State Jail Felonies.

The suspect was arrested by Irving Police on July 21 an unrelated offense and was additionally booked on the outstanding Colleyville warrants.
