RICHARDSON, TX — The Richardson Police Department is investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 3, 2025.
At approximately 3:40 a.m., an employee at a business in the 100 block of E. Spring Valley Road called 911 to report being robbed at gunpoint. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Officers responding to the scene began searching the area and located a male matching the suspect’s description across the street at the DART Spring Valley Station, located at 100 W. Spring Valley Road. When officers approached, the subject fled on foot.
During the foot pursuit, the suspect displayed a handgun, prompting one of the officers to discharge their firearm. The suspect was not struck or injured and was taken into custody without further incident.
The suspect was identified as a juvenile. In accordance with state law, his identity has not been released. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the robbery.
