DUI Suspect Arrested After Crashing into Amazon Truck in DeSoto

DESOTO, TX – A Dallas man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after crashing his vehicle into an Amazon delivery truck on Interstate 35E late Monday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. on August 4, in the 1400 block of North Interstate Highway 35E. According to witnesses, a blue Ford Escape, driven by Quincy J. Miller, struck the driver’s side of an Amazon delivery truck while traveling southbound.

DeSoto Police officers investigated the scene and determined that Miller was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, and his vehicle was impounded.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported to any motorists involved in the collision. The DeSoto Police Department took the opportunity to remind the public about the dangers of impaired driving and encouraged the use of designated drivers or other alternative transportation.
