CLEBURNE, TX – A Cleburne man, Jamie Shannon Hope, 37, was killed in a head-on motorcycle crash on westbound Highway 67 near County Road 1226 on Sunday morning.
At approximately 7:40 a.m. on August 3, Bono volunteer firefighters, CareFlite paramedics, and multiple law enforcement officers responded to the scene. According to investigators, Hope, who was traveling westbound, attempted to pass another vehicle and collided head-on with an eastbound pickup truck.
Hope was pronounced deceased at the scene. Hope had been arrested this past June for driving with an invalid license, speeding (going 72 mph on a 40 mph zone) and failure to appear in court of previous traffic violations.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
