GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred early Tuesday morning, August 12th, at the intersection of Marshall Drive and SW 3rd Street.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., a Nissan passenger car traveling north on SW 3rd left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Grand Prairie Fire Department medics.
Traffic investigators believe speed may have been a factor in the crash. The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office after next of kin have been notified.
The collision remains under investigation.
