FRISCO, Texas — The Frisco Police Department has taken a suspect into custody following an aggravated assault investigation stemming from a late-July shooting.
On Monday, July 28, 2025, at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 6500 block of Scottsdale Way after a report of shots fired. The caller told dispatchers that he had fired at someone attempting to kick in his door.
Investigators determined that the suspect, identified as 58-year-old Damon Wolfe of Frisco, had stepped outside his residence after hearing a loud bang and then fired multiple rounds at a passing vehicle he believed was involved.
Later that night, officers responded to the 12300 block of Hawk Creek Drive regarding a vehicle that had been shot at. The driver and two passengers initially said their vehicle was targeted while driving north on Legacy, but later admitted they had been “ding-dong ditching” in a neighborhood when confronted by an armed man. They reported Wolfe fired at their vehicle as they drove away. Officers confirmed three bullet holes in the car, which was processed by Frisco CSI.
Detectives determined probable cause existed to charge Wolfe with three counts of Aggravated Assault, one for each victim. A judge signed the arrest warrants, and Wolfe was taken into custody at the Frisco Police Department on August 7, 2025. The second-degree felony carries a punishment of two to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
Police Chief David Shilson urged parents to warn their children about the dangers of such pranks and reminded residents that firing at fleeing vehicles has serious legal consequences.
