DALLAS – The Dallas Police Department’s Northeast Patrol Division and Street Racing Task Force conducted a joint operation on Monday, August 18, 2025, targeting reckless driving and stunt riding near Peavy Road and Buckner Boulevard.
The action followed complaints from residents reporting large groups of motorcycles, dirt bikes, and off-road vehicles blocking traffic and performing stunts on Monday evenings.
Officers tracked the group to the 10700 block of Miller Road and the White Rock Lake area, observing multiple traffic violations. The operation resulted in 30 citations for offenses including driving without a license, lack of insurance or registration, and expired tags.
Police seized and towed 12 e-bikes and dirt bikes, and one firearm was confiscated during an arrest.
Alfred Jenkins, 29, was arrested and charged with reckless driving and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Jose Leyba, 26, was arrested and charged with reckless driving.
“This type of behavior endangers lives,” said Major Gabriel Candelaria, commander of the Northeast Patrol Division. “Our streets are not a stage for stunt driving and reckless behavior.”
The Dallas Police Department confirmed the investigation and enforcement efforts are ongoing.
