Dallas, TX – On August 26, 2025, Travion Amar Williams, 22, pled guilty before United States Magistrate Judge David Horan to charges of carjacking and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, according to Acting U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Nancy E. Larson.
Williams admitted that on December 6, 2023, he and two coconspirators, wearing masks, waited in a vehicle near a parked 2020 Chevrolet Corvette in Deep Ellum. As the victims approached their car, Williams and a coconspirator, armed with handguns, forced the victims to surrender the keys to the Corvette, a bracelet, a cell phone, and a wallet.
Williams and the coconspirator then entered the stolen Corvette and led police on a high-speed chase. The suspects eventually abandoned the vehicle under a bridge overpass, fled on foot, and entered an industrial park. During the foot chase, Williams dropped a Glock Model 19 Gen 5, 9mm Parabellum pistol, which he had used during the carjacking.
Williams was apprehended and is scheduled to be sentenced on January 14, 2026.
The case was investigated by the Dallas Police Department in coordination with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
