For the past three years Irving ISD’s first ever Lacrosse team, developed through the 21st Century/Quest program at Nimitz, has been growing in skills and in number. Recently the popular afterschool program has had the opportunity to compete with several other lacrosse teams in the DFW area.
On May 11th and 12th, The Cowboy Classic Lacrosse Tournament will take place at Cowboy Stadium. Eight of the top competitive 5thand 6th grade lacrosse teams in the DFW area will compete to showcase their hard work and talents. The Nimitz Vikings Lacrosse Club was selected as one of two high school teams who will get to play a game in the stadium directly following the tournament.
Tickets can be preordered for $10.00 from Lance Johanson (ljohanson@irvingisd.net) or can be obtained at the stadium day of for $15. Included with your ticket is a free tour of the Texas Stadium from 3:00pm -6:00pm. The Nimitz vs. Prosper game will start at 9pm
