Francisco Miranda Jr. Named Principal of Crockett Middle School

Francisco Miranda Jr., who is currently the associate principal at Irving High School, has been selected to lead Crockett Middle School as its new principal.

“I am ecstatic for the opportunity to lead Crockett Middle School,” says Miranda, who served as a middle school associate principal, middle school assistant principal and summer school principal in Dallas ISD before joining Irving ISD. “My passion and dedication for student success along with my collaborative leadership style will aid me in my journey to move Crockett to the next level,” he says.

“In keeping with the Irving ISD beliefs, I strive to help create a positive campus culture where students are respected as learners and feel safe taking risks associated with their learning.” Miranda says he is a true believer that all stakeholders on our campus must collectively ensure that students are provided with an environment conducive to learning.

In addition to his high school and middle school leadership experience, Miranda taught at the elementary school level, serving as a bilingual reading, language arts and social studies teacher for fourth and fifth grades.

“Mr. Miranda is a focused, organized and dedicated educator who has the skills necessary to lead Crockett Middle School to greater success,” says Associate Superintendent of Academic Services Adam Grinage, Ed.D. “The administration is eager to see the success that will result from the hard-working and dedicated teachers, focused engagement of students, and the strong leadership of the administrative team at Crockett.”

Miranda, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, earned his master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Texas at Austin and his bachelor’s degree from Northwood University.

“I look forward to embarking on this journey and becoming a proud Crockett Cougar,” says Miranda, who will begin transitioning to his new role in June.
