Irving ISD Trustees Approve District Reorganization Plan

At its meeting on March 25, 2024, the Irving ISD Board of Trustees approved the administration's request for a District Reorganization. This move comes as the district acknowledges the need for ongoing adaptation to address changing educational and organizational needs amid declining student enrollment and state funding challenges.

The decision follows a thorough review of district positions, conducted alongside an organizational study by Evergreen Consulting, as approved by the Board. The aim is to enhance staff effectiveness and organizational efficiency while maintaining fiscal responsibility. The district intends to implement these recommendations in line with Board Policy DFFB, focusing on program changes and reorganization to streamline staffing structures.

The administration assures stakeholders of efforts to minimize disruptions and uphold service standards for students and the community throughout and after the implementation of potential changes. Employees have been informed that unless directly addressed by their immediate supervisor regarding potential impacts, they can expect no changes before the end of the current 2023-2024 school year. However, employees are encouraged to reach out to their supervisors with any questions or concerns.
