Several Irving ISD musicians are the newest members of the Lone Star Youth Orchestra after excelling in auditions last week. As members, each will participate in four performances per season and will also play alongside both the Las Colinas Symphony and Garland Symphony Orchestra in special performances during the year. Monica Limberg, 9th grade – Violin (MacArthur orchestra)
Xavier Reyes, 12th grade – Violin (Irving orchestra)
Andrew Rowlett, 11th grade – Violin (Nimitz orchestra)
Belen Salgado, 11th grade – Principal Viola (Irving orchestra)
Julian Torres, 12th grade – Tuba (Nimitz band)
