Irving ISD Students Win Big at National Competitions

Irving ISD was well represented at national Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) competitions across the country this summer. These competitions further prepare students for accelerated education and careers in current or emerging professions.

Of special note, two middle schools teams from Irving ISD qualified and placed at the national level, among high school teams.

Congratulations to the following students for placing nationally:

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) 

de Zavala Middle School 

  • 3rd place – Event Management Level 1: Angelina Martinez, Finjas Mignon and Bailey Villatoro

MacArthur High School

  • Say Yes to FCS Level 2 – Gold: Hetzenney Gallardo
  • Say Yes to FCS Level 3 – Gold: Laura Raupp

  • 3rd place – Engineering Design: Khoi Nguyen and Paola Romero

Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE)
