On Monday, February 10, 2025, at approximately 11:20 a.m., Dallas police responded to a call in the 4600 block of Elsie Faye Heggins Street, near Wahoo Park. Officers discovered 17-year-old Nathaniel Vazquez shot inside a vehicle. Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) responded to the scene, where the victim was pronounced dead.
Vazquez had been reported missing the previous day, on February 9, 2025, under case number 018728-2025. The investigation into his death is ongoing and is documented under case number 019319-2025.
