An 18-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Garland Avenue and Stratford Drive late Thursday night, February 21, 2025.
Garland Police officers responded to the scene just before 10:30 p.m. and found that one person had been ejected from a vehicle and died from their injuries.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a vehicle traveling east on Stratford Drive entered Garland Avenue and was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Garland Avenue.
Each vehicle carried three occupants. The five surviving individuals, aged 16 to 22, were transported to a local hospital.
Evidence of alcohol was found at the scene, and detectives are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and whether impairment was a factor.
The identities of the occupants are being withheld at this time.
