Parker County Duo Arrested in Heroin Distribution Bust, Four Pounds of Black Tar Heroin Seized

Christopher Clifton Walker and Jodi Elizabeth Back

A months-long investigation into the distribution of black tar heroin culminated in the arrests of two individuals in Parker County on March 5, 2025. The case began following an anonymous tip that led the Parker County Sheriff’s Special Crimes Unit (SCU) to secure a search warrant for a storage container located in the 11000 block of South FM 730.

During the search, investigators seized approximately four pounds of black tar heroin, six firearms—including some that had been illegally modified into short-barrel firearms—and various narcotics paraphernalia.

Jodi Elizabeth Back, 32, of Azle, was arrested for tampering with evidence after admitting to deleting data from a smartphone related to the investigation.

Christopher Clifton Walker, 33, also of Azle, was arrested on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance over 400 grams, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and tampering or fabricating physical evidence. His bond was set at $140,000.

Walker initially claimed he was "holding" the drugs and firearms for someone else, but lab results confirmed the presence of black tar heroin in his possession, leading to his arrest. As of Thursday, Walker remains incarcerated at the Parker County Jail.
