On March 15, 2025, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at Gus Thomasson Road and Ferguson Road in East Dallas.
Upon arrival, officers found 21-year-old Christopher Montoya suffering from a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced Montoya deceased at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 036583-2025. The case will be referred to a Grand Jury.
