On March 15, 2025, at approximately 7:55 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 1500 block of Owega Avenue in East Oak Cliff.
Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive man. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and confirmed the victim was deceased.
Following an investigation, officers identified the suspect as 33-year-old Tevyn Perkins. Perkins was arrested and charged with Murder. His bond was set at $250,000.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 60-year-old Vonda Lewis Dean, a black male.
