Teen's Testimony Leads to 80-Year Sentence for Fort Worth Sexual Abuser

William Pearson

William Rayford Pearson, 38, was found guilty of indecency with a child by sexual contact and sentenced to 80 years in prison by a Tarrant County jury on March 21, 2025.

The conviction stems from an incident on November 29, 2022, when Pearson exposed himself to and inappropriately touched a 16-year-old female neighbor. The victim testified about the lasting impact of the incident on her life.

Pearson's criminal history includes prior convictions for injury to a child and felony assault of a family member. Two former girlfriends testified about his physical abuse and animal torture. Evidence also revealed prior child abuse by Pearson.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Melinda Hogan and Stuart Neal, with assistance from District Attorney Investigator Brian Johnson and Victim Coordinator Angela Stevens. The Fort Worth Police Department conducted the investigation.
