A man was shot and killed by a security guard early Monday morning in Northwest Dallas.
On March 31, 2025, at approximately 3:10 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of Forest Lane. The preliminary investigation determined that Napoleon Wingwood, 38, a licensed security guard patrolling the location, shot 37-year-old Charles Harris. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing and will be referred to a Grand Jury. The case is documented under case number 044808-2025.
