The City of Dallas is commemorating Fair Housing Month this April with a series of informational events aimed at educating residents about their rights and combating housing discrimination.
The City of Dallas Office of Equity and Inclusion – Fair Housing Division is hosting these events to raise awareness of the 1968 Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination in housing.
Throughout April, the Fair Housing Division will conduct its "Fair Housing Roadshow," holding events every Thursday in different Dallas districts. Fair housing staff will be present to provide information, answer questions, and receive qualifying fair housing complaints.
The following Dallas City Council members will be participating in these workshops: Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins and Councilmembers Jamie Resendiz, Jesse Moreno, and Gay Donnell Willis.
