Dallas Pets Alive (DPA) is hosting its inaugural Foster Fest this Saturday, April 12th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the DPA Adoption Container, located at Community Beer Co., 3110 Commonwealth Drive, Dallas, TX 75247. The event aims to connect urgently in-need pets from severely overcrowded North Texas animal shelters with individuals willing to provide temporary care.
With local shelters consistently reporting being 100% over capacity, hundreds of pets are facing a critical need for homes, safety, and love. Foster Fest offers attendees the opportunity to meet animals from local shelters on-site and sign up to foster immediately.
Dallas Pets Alive provides comprehensive support to fosters, covering all necessary medical expenses and supplies, as well as offering four weeks of in-person or virtual training.
Attendees who sign up to foster at the event will receive a Community Beer Company beer token and small DPA swag, including a sticker, coozie, button, and a Quakecon shirt, along with a cat or dog toy and treats.
Those who leave with a new foster animal will receive even more incentives, including a Community Beer Company beer token, a $25 virtual Amazon gift card to help with supplies, DPA and CBC swag (a DPA t-shirt of their choice, sticker, coozie, and a CBC Taproom discount coupon), and all the necessary supplies for their new foster pet.
DPA’s on-site volunteers will be available throughout the event to answer questions, discuss the current animal welfare crisis, and provide guidance to those interested in making a difference in the lives of vulnerable animals.
