The Tarrant County District Attorney's Office announced on April 9th that a jury found 36-year-old Bengamiah Levine Mangawe guilty of Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child under 14. He was subsequently sentenced to 40 years in prison.
The case originated on January 15, 2021, when a young female family member reported that Mangawe had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions while he was babysitting her and other children. The Fort Worth Police Department conducted the investigation.
Assistant District Attorneys Matthew Jackson and Kyle Russo prosecuted the case.
