The Tarrant County District Attorney's Office has announced that a Tarrant County jury found 45-year-old Carlos Franco Hernandez guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child and sentenced him to 60 years in prison.
The crime occurred on December 18, 2021, when Hernandez took a 13-year-old female family member to a motel and sexually assaulted her. The victim was found crying and walking down the street following the assault.
The Fort Worth Police Department investigated the case. Prosecutors Erika Staif and Jessica Brewer represented the state, with assistance from District Attorney investigators Tiffany Johnson and Annabelle Amon, and Victim Coordinator Elizabeth Garcia.
