A Tarrant County jury found 35-year-old Clarence Edward Tillis III guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child on April 9th, and he was sentenced to life in prison.
The conviction stemmed from an incident in June 2023, where Tillis showed a 5-year-old girl an inappropriate video and then coerced her into performing the sexual acts depicted in the video.
The Arlington Police Department conducted the investigation. Assistant District Attorneys Marina Thomas and Courtney Mowdy prosecuted the case, with assistance from DA Investigator Brent Ezelle and Victim Coordinator Candace Burnett.
