The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 34-year-old Kendrick Finch. He is described as a Black male, 5'09" tall, weighing 170 lbs, with blue eyes and black hair.
Finch is wanted for a murder that occurred on April 5, 2025, in the 1800 block of Main Street in downtown Dallas.
On April 5, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the area. Upon arrival, officers found that two people had been shot. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported both victims to a local hospital, where 28-year-old Ashlee Renee Long succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Kendrick Finch to contact Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers will pay a reward for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of Finch for this and other felony offenses.
A grieving message posted on social media by Ashlee Long's mother read, "A piece of my heart was carelessly taken away. I lost my baby and best friend, Ashlee. The road ahead is going to be so hard without you, my girl. You lit up every room and were always the life of the party; you truly lived life to the fullest. I will fight for justice for you until my last breath."
