One Dead, Two Injured in Southeast Fort Worth Triple Shooting; Suspect Sought

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, at approximately 3:18 p.m., Fort Worth police officers responded to a shooting in the 4200 block of Carmel Avenue in southeast Fort Worth.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Two additional victims who were injured in the same incident self-transported to a local hospital. Their current condition is unknown.

According to the initial investigation, the victims were sitting in a parked car when an unidentified suspect approached the vehicle and engaged in a brief conversation. The suspect then pulled a handgun and fired multiple shots into the vehicle, striking all three individuals. The deceased victim attempted to flee on foot but collapsed nearby. The two surviving victims drove themselves to the hospital.

The suspect fled the scene on foot and has not yet been identified.

The Fort Worth Police Department Homicide Unit is continuing the investigation. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death and release the identity of the deceased.
