Kroger will install electric vehicle charging stations in North Texas by late June. For the first year, the charges will be free. In 2013, a pay system comparable to having a toll tag will be implemented. A technology research company Gartner has forecasted that 100,000 electric cars will be sold in the U.S. this year.
Kroger has scheduled installations at eight stores including the store off MacArthur in Irving.
