Some of the weapons and drugs seized

The Dallas Police Department's Violent Crime Reduction Plan has led to a significant narcotics bust, with the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of multiple firearms, cash, and various drugs, following an extensive investigation that began in September 2024.

Dallas Police detectives initiated a narcotics investigation in the 4900 block of East Side Avenue. This led to a search warrant execution, uncovering narcotics and evidence for further investigations. By March 2025, PNI detectives linked the East Side Avenue investigation to additional locations on Terry Street and Park Lane, which were being used to store and sell narcotics.

A search warrant executed at the Terry Street location yielded multiple firearms, drugs packaged for distribution, and other illegal drug paraphernalia. A second search warrant at the Park Lane location resulted in the confiscation of various narcotics packaged for distribution and a handgun.

The extensive investigations led to the arrests of:

  • Christopher Springfield, 32, charged with four counts of first-degree felony Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one count of second-degree felony Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
  • Saray Portillo, 31, charged with Tampering with or Fabricating Evidence, a third-degree felony.
  • Jamie Solorzano, 40, charged with two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a third-degree felony.

In total, Dallas Police recovered five firearms, 408.9 grams of cocaine, 263.8 grams of methamphetamine, 21.6 grams of fentanyl, 5.8 grams of oxycodone, 1.5 grams of heroin, and 43.8 grams of marijuana, along with multiple cell phones and $7,171 in U.S. currency.

This successful operation was the result of collaborative efforts by the Dallas Police PNI Task Force, the Project Safe Neighborhood Task Force, Central Patrol CRT, SWAT, UAS units, and the ACT Team. The investigations are documented under case numbers 083475-2025, 083477-2025, and 083478-2025.
