On June 24, 2025, Dallas Central Patrol officers responded to two separate shootings involving the same suspect in Old East Dallas.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., officers were called to the 900 block of N. Peak Street after a man fired a gun at a car occupied by a woman and her 5-year-old child. No injuries were reported from that incident.
About two hours later, officers responded to a call in the 4600 block of Sycamore Street, where a man was seen firing a gun during an argument.
Assault detectives and patrol officers interviewed witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage, identifying 35-year-old Soriya Oeur as the suspect responsible for both shootings.
Oeur was arrested and taken to Lew Sterrett Jail. He faces two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony, and two counts of Deadly Conduct for Discharge of a Firearm, a third-degree felony.
“This investigation highlights the importance of teamwork and information sharing in solving crimes quickly,” said Assistant Chief Mark Villarreal.
The case is documented under number 089958-2025.
