ARLINGTON, Texas — The Arlington Police Department is investigating a suspected murder-suicide that occurred Friday morning, July 11, 2025, at a hair salon (The Salon and Spa Galleria) located in the 7800 block of South Cooper Street.
At approximately 10:17 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting inside the business. Witnesses told police that a 37-year-old woman entered the salon and shot a 37-year-old man, who was a customer, multiple times. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As responding officers arrived, they observed the woman attempting to leave the building. Upon seeing the officers, she re-entered the salon and shot herself. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives determined that the man and woman were previously in a romantic relationship. A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
There were multiple people inside the salon at the time of the incident, but no additional injuries were reported.
The names of the deceased will be released by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
